The Karen M. Gil Internship Program in Psychology offers undergraduate students an opportunity to deepen their understanding of psychology and develop professional skills. The program is funded by a generous gift from anonymous donors.
The Gil Internship Program matches 10 to 12 interns per semester to an appropriate internship worksite based on their specific interests in psychology. Students also receive a monthly stipend and a three-hour course credit toward the psychology major. To learn more, visit http://psychology.unc.edu/gil-internship/
Sharing experiences with other interns and building a strong network is another important component of the program. A blog allows interns to share the stories of the work they do with others.
Read a longer Web feature about the Karen M. Gil Internship Program and a spring 2014 Carolina Arts & Sciences magazine story on the gift that made the internship program possible.
