New initiative to examine ‘race, memory and reimagining the public university’

A new shared learning initiative in the College of Arts & Sciences will support student learning and discussions about heritage, race, post-conflict legacies, politics of remembrance and contemporary projects of reconciliation. It will kick off in fall 2019.

Meredith Emery is the University’s seventh Beinecke Scholar

Meredith Emery, a studio art major and geography minor, was recently selected for the prestigious Beinecke Scholarship. The Beinecke Scholarship, a program of The Sperry Fund, recognized Emery’s impressive achievements with a $34,000 award to attend graduate school in the arts, humanities or social sciences.
