Engineered “spaghetti-ball” proteins provide biomedical insights

Biomedical engineers at Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill and the University of New Mexico have engineered the first examples of biomimetic structures composed of a mysterious class of proteins that lack any sort of internal structure.
