Short story ‘vending machines’ come to Carolina as part of Arts Everywhere Day

The machines, which have been installed in various locations on campus, deliver fiction and poetry from Carolina writers. The installation is a collaboration between Arts Everywhere, UNC Press, the College of Arts & Sciences’ Department of English and Comparative Literature, and publishing company Short Edition.

Carolina honors 11 for public service

Disaster preparedness trainings, pro bono legal assistance and a performance program for children with autism were some of the projects recognized at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s 2019 Public Service Awards celebration on April 1. The annual event is hosted by the Carolina Center for Public Service. College of Arts & Sciences people and programs were among the winners.
