UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor Folt honors 73 students for academic, service leadership

Seventy-three talented and ambitious students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have been honored with the University’s most prestigious awards for academic achievement and leadership, the Chancellor’s Award.

Chancellor Carol L. Folt presided over the annual Chancellor’s Awards ceremony on April 20, where Executive Vice Provost Ron Strauss, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Winston Crisp and 2015-16 student body president Houston Summers also presented academic, student leadership activities and student-selected undergraduate teaching and staff awards.

“At Carolina we expect our students to innovate, create, compete and excel,” said Folt. “Through extraordinary academic achievement, public service and leadership, our Chancellor’s Awards recipients have exceeded these expectations and set a standard of excellence for future generations.”
