Kicking off the Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship

When the Shuford family’s $18 million gift to the College of Arts & Sciences’ entrepreneurship program was announced in May, many students had already left campus for the summer or for jobs and internships.

On Sept. 22, the newly named Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship and the Carolina Union hosted a celebration and challenge for students. A select group of e-minor students competed. The event included an innovation challenge with Duck Tape as the main creative tool. (Duck Tape is one of the products of Jim Shuford’s company Shurtape — in Carolina blue, of course.)
