Center for European Studies welcomes 2018 TransAntlantic Master Class

transatlantic-master-classThe Center for European Studies is pleased to welcome the 2018 TransAtlantic Masters Class (TAM) to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There are 16 students in our 19th incoming TAM class. These students come from a variety of states, including Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina and South Carolina. In addition, TAM is welcoming one Canadian, one German and one U.K.-U.S. dual national in this group.

This year’s incoming TAM students received undergraduate degrees from the following institutions: American University; UNC-Chapel Hill; North Carolina State University; Appalachian State University; Guilford College; the Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina; Penn State University; the University of St. Andrews; the University of Manitoba; the University of Michigan; and King’s College London.

The new TAM students have studied or worked abroad in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kosovo, Morocco, Romania, Scotland, Sweden, Uruguay, United Kingdom, Vietnam and Israel. Many of the new students have substantial experience involving security and defense, diplomacy, education, performance arts, fundraising, marketing, finance, law, and public service.
