The ACS Division of Organic Chemistry and The Journal of Organic Chemistry are proud to announce Distinguished Professor Jeffrey Johnson, as the winner of the 2016 Journal of Organic Chemistry Outstanding Author of the Year Lectureship Award. He will be presented with an award at a symposium in his honor at the fall ACS National Meeting, Aug. 21, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Johnson is a distinguished professor of chemistry. He says, “This award is especially fun because the project described in this paper epitomizes the way research often develops; lots of apparent dead ends and lots of great ideas, and implementation, from the student, who in this case was Robert Sharpe.”
