The future of LGBT rights in America

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6tlgE5H6NY[/youtube]Frank Bruni, a UNC alumnus and New York Times journalist, and Jonathan Capehart, journalist for the Washington Post and MSNBC, participated in a forum on the future of LGBT rights in America at UNC-Chapel Hill.

They discussed the changing perception of the LGBT community in America, progress made by LGBT politicians, and the push for marriage equality.

The event was hosted by Janie Long, Director of the Center for LGBT Life at Duke, with introductions by UNC Global Studies Curriculum Chair Andrew Reynolds and Chapel Hill Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt.
