Bestselling author Daniel Wallace and singer-songwriter Django Haskins will present a unique combination of music, storytelling and impromptu conversation Jan. 11 at the Friday Center for Continuing Education.<\/p>\n
\u201cFables in Story and Song\u201d will begin at 8 p.m., as part of the center\u2019s \u201cUnder the Atrium\u201d series. Tickets are $10 in advance through the Carolina Union box office or $12 at the door. Food trucks will be available on-site. Wallace is the author of five novels, including \u201cBig Fish,\u201d made into a motion picture by Tim Burton in 2003. A musical version recently opened on Broadway. He is the J. Ross MacDonald Distinguished Professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he teaches and directs the creative writing program.<\/p>\n
Haskins has recorded nine albums of his songs, and his music has been featured in many indie and major films and TV. He tours both solo and with his band, The Old Ceremony.<\/p>\n
