Kinesiology, or human kinetics, often refers to the study of the causes, processes, consequences and contexts of physical activity examined from different perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>Padua also is director of the UNC Sports Medicine Research Laboratory. His primary research interests focus on understanding factors that influence knee stability, identification of risk factors associated with and evidence-based prevention strategies for knee injury, and validation of performance enhancement training techniques.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0He is chair of the research committee for the National Athletic Trainers\u2019 Association Foundation and is section editor for the<em> Journal of Athletic Training.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0UNC exercise and sport science faculty Kevin Guskiewicz (2006 inductee) and Anthony Hackney (2010 inductee) also attended the
