Experts from far and wide will explore areas of scholarship to which Headley contributed during his career. Programs will be in Hyde Hall near East Franklin Street.<\/p>\n<p>Activities will begin with a reception at 4 p.m. Friday, followed by a 4:30 p.m. lecture, \u201cArt, Trent, and Michelangelo\u2019s \u2018Last Judgment,\u2019\u201d by John W. O\u2019Malley<strong>, <\/strong>University Professor at Georgetown University. The talk will be part of the Crossroads Lecture Series in the program in medieval and early modern studies.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday sessions will cover the Renaissance, the intellectual history of the early modern world, global history and Headley\u2019s scholarly contributions. Headley will conclude the symposium with his reflections.<\/p>\n<p>UNC sponsors are the program in medieval and early modern studies, history department, Institute for Arts and Humanities and Global Research Institute.
