North Carolina Public Radio \u2013 WUNC-FM, a service of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will explore a new collection of never-before-heard interviews about the Civil Rights Movement. Each Friday morning in March, WUNC\u2019s Eric Hodge will be joined on \u201cMorning Edition\u201d by Seth Kotch from the Southern Oral History Program at UNC\u2019s Center for the Study of the American South. The Center is part of the College of Arts and Sciences.<\/p>\n
Kotch and a team of oral historians recently completed a new series of 50 interviews with activists, leaders and lay-people about the Civil Rights Movement. The collection will be part of the Smithsonian\u2019s National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C., and archived at the American Folklife Center in the Library of Congress.<\/p>\n
