The guests are standing in front of the Old Well.\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24525\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A delegation from King&#8217;s College London recently visited UNC-Chapel Hill.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King\u2019s College London April 16-19, 2018, including Russell Goulbourne, dean, and Raphael Woolf, vice dean of external relations.<\/p>\n<p>Goulbourne and Woolf met with faculty and staff from the UNC College of Arts and Sciences, including religious studies, classics, philosophy, music, digital humanities, history and English and comparative literature, and the Institute for Arts and Humanities to discuss joint projects and opportunities for future collaborations. They also met with the Study Abroad Office, the Center for Public Service and the program in Philosophy, Politics and Economics to discuss student engagement opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Discussion also took place with the Graduate School about the King\u2019s-UNC Royster Global Fellows Program, which was established in 2017 and extended Carolina\u2019s prestigious Royster Society of Fellows to engage graduate students from King\u2019s. The inaugural Royster Global conference took place at Carolina in July 2017, after collaborative planning between Carolina Royster doctoral students and King\u2019s doctoral students, and a second conference is scheduled for July 2018 in London. The interdisciplinary conferences enable participants to engage with one another and share perspectives through seminars and workshops. \u201cCarolina\u2019s partnership with King\u2019s College London serves as a model for developing our partnerships,\u201d said Katie Bowler Young, director of global relations for UNC Global and UNC-Chapel Hill\u2019s partnership liaison for the UNC-King\u2019s College London Strategic Alliance. \u201cVisits like this give us time to plan and imagine together, finding new ways to collaborate while strengthening longstanding activity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Goulbourne and Woolf also had the opportunity to talk with King\u2019s undergraduate students currently studying at Carolina and Carolina students who will study at King\u2019s in the fall 2018 semester. Since 2004, over 400 Carolina undergraduate students have studied at King\u2019s, and more than 250 King\u2019s undergraduate students have come to Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Carolina\u2019s partnership with King\u2019s College London, a research-led public university in the heart of London founded in 1828, exemplifies a commitment to building robust and multi-level global partnerships. In 2005, UNC-Chapel Hill and King\u2019s College London established the\u00a0UNC-King\u2019s Strategic Alliance, initiated between the UNC\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/college.unc.edu\/\">College of Arts and Sciences<\/a>\u00a0and King\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kcl.ac.uk\/artshums\/index.aspx\">Faculty of Arts and Humanities<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kcl.ac.uk\/sspp\/index.aspx\">Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy<\/a>. The UNC-King\u2019s Strategic Alliance is one of the most ambitious partnerships between a U.S. and U.K. university, including longstanding and emerging joint activity in teaching, research, student
