Gillings Center for Dramatic Art, 120 Country Club Road, Chapel Hill<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admission: <\/strong>Free, with a $5 suggested donation at the door<\/p>\n<p>PlayMakers Repertory Company and The Process Series proudly present \u201cMaking Tracks,\u201d a new play reading series tackling some of the most prescient issues of our time. Dedicated to representing a wide variety of perspectives, \u201cMaking Tracks\u201d will feature readings of four plays by four vastly different voices: a UNC-Chapel Hill student playwright, a faculty playwright, a national playwright and an international playwright. The series will run from the afternoon of April 13 into the evening of April 15, in conjunction with \u201cLeaving Eden,\u201d the world-premiere of PlayMakers\u2019 first full commissioned work, originally developed in partnership with The Process Series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlayMakers\u2019 goal is to become a creative home for the development of playwrights\u2019 most socially conscious and ambitious work,\u201d says PlayMakers\u2019 Producing Artistic Director Vivienne Benesch. \u201c\u2018Making Tracks\u2019 is a new platform that gives us that opportunity, and this inaugural year provides a great taste of the exciting range of voices and stories that we can expect to see. I am thrilled to be collaborating once again with the invaluable Process Series, whose 10-year track record developing significant work for the performing arts provides a great launching pad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Process Series Artistic Director Joseph Megel, agrees, \u201cOur collaboration is a perfect marriage, both organizations focusing on the process of creation of plays that truly makes a difference.
