(photo by Steve Exum)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Twenty-five faculty members and teaching assistants, many of them in the College of Arts &amp; Sciences, have been named winners of UNC-Chapel Hill\u2019s 2018 <a href=\"http:\/\/provost.unc.edu\/teaching-awards\/\">University Teaching Awards<\/a>. The recipients were recognized during halftime of the men\u2019s basketball game against Georgia Tech on Jan. 20. <a href=\"http:\/\/chancellor.unc.edu\/\">Chancellor Carol L. Folt<\/a> also will host a spring banquet to honor the winners.<\/p>\n<p>The University Committee on Teaching Awards, which oversees the selection process, encouraged students to nominate deserving faculty and graduate teaching assistants for the awards.
