{"id":10247,"date":"2015-04-06T10:39:32","date_gmt":"2015-04-06T15:39:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/college.unc.edu\/?p=10247"},"modified":"2024-07-02T16:07:14","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T16:07:14","slug":"high-school-students-from-across-north-america-come-to-unc-chapel-hill-in-third-annual-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/collegearchive.unc.edu\/?p=10247","title":{"rendered":"High school students from across North America come to UNC-Chapel Hill in third annual competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The third annual National High School Ethics Bowl will bring 22 teams from across North America to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill April 10-11.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/collegearchive.unc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/07\/cropped-Competition-Shots-30-e1428334740537.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10248  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/collegearchive.unc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2024\/07\/cropped-Competition-Shots-30-e1428334740537.jpg\" alt=\"cropped-Competition-Shots-30\" width=\"635\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Hosted by The Parr Center for Ethics\u00a0in UNC-Chapel Hill&#8217;s College of Arts and Sciences, students will exercise their philosophical, analytical thinking and ethical muscles as they address topical issues. Approximately 1,600 students from 238 teams representing 232 schools competed in 22 regionals from September to March for a chance to compete for the national championship, making this the largest National High School Ethics Bowl to date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">During the two-day event, teams will compete in four rounds of competition.
